Landing Zone collects name and email for account creation via Firebase Auth. Precise location is used solely for on-device distance calculations and is not tracked continuously, stored on our servers, or linked to your identity. Organization membership data is stored in Firestore to enable team collaboration.
Data is used exclusively to provide app functionality: displaying landing zones and hospitals, enabling real-time team collaboration, delivering NOTAM alerts, exporting data to aviation GPS units, and providing the web portal. We do not use your data for advertising or third-party analytics.
All cloud data is stored in Google Firebase with encryption in transit and at rest. Local iOS data uses Core Data with device encryption. Your organization's data is only accessible to authorized members as defined by role-based permissions.
We do not sell your data. Sharing occurs only in these contexts: (1) Within your organization via Firebase sync. (2) Partner organizations — only through the approval-based workflow you control. (3) Firebase services for auth and storage. (4) Apple/Google Maps for display only.
Location is used to calculate distances between your position and landing zones or hospitals. Processing happens on-device and location data is not stored on our servers. Revoke access in iOS Settings → Privacy → Location Services → Landing Zone.
Landing Zone is for professional aviation use by adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Material changes will be posted here and communicated within the app. The date at the top indicates when it was last updated.
